This Printable Santa Letter makes drafting a letter to Santa as easy as “download” and “print!” This download includes several other Christmas writing and drawing prompts as a bonus for your family- yay!
I highly recommend printing these cuties out and working on them with some toasty mugs of hot cocoa– unless your kids are spill prone. In which case, promise them cocoa after! 😉
Printable Santa Letter Pack
Here are all of the activities that we’ve included in the Printable Santa Letter Pack, and a few tips and tricks along the way. Keep in mind that none of these activities are meant to be rushed through! Block out an uninterrupted chunk of time to enjoy completing these with your children and savor the season.
Printable Santa Letter Versions
Two different styles of printable Santa letters are included in the download. The first is very open-ended. It says “Dear Santa” on the top and “Love,” on the bottom, but it has nothing in the middle. It’s perfect for kids who prefer to express themselves with a picture and not with writing!
The second has the same salutations but has lines on it, so that children who prefer to write can do so.
Once Upon A Time Printable
Another very open-ended printable! It’s essentially holiday themed stationary on which children can write a story. Children can create a story of Santa, winter, Christmas or whatever comes to their mind. It doesn’t even HAVE to be a Christmas story!
If you have any hesitant story tellers, try these prompts:
What snowy adventure could your favorite stuffed animal embark on?
What would happen on the craziest Christmas Day?
Tell me about what you think Christmas would be like if you were a (insert interesting animal or person here: knight/soldier/princess/fairy queen/dwarf/bear.. you get the idea, just pick something your child is interested in)!
Draw A Picture of Christmas Eve Printable
This is a simple drawing prompt! Sometimes it helps children spark their imagination when they have a little direction. This printable will encourage them to draw a Christmas Eve scene.
Find Words Printables
My personal favorite! GAMES! “Find words” is fun activity that I have always loved. One word is given for each page, Christmas on one and Santa on the other. The point of the activity is to see what words can be found or spelled with the letters of each of the words. For instance, in Christmas, you can spell: Hat, Mat, Sat, Cat, Hit and more!
Finally, the very last page is truly just holiday stationary! No words, no prompts, just a really cute Christmas design! This is so children can do whatever they like!
Encourage your child to write a letter or draw a picture for a friend or family member. Perhaps they’ll draw a picture to hang on the Christmas tree or write up a list of the gift they’d like to give friends and family!
